about

“One Day I’ll Fly Away” is a musical map of the passage of time explored through a blend of classical, jazz, and popular music arrangements for piano. The album’s landscape begins with an original rhapsody for piano and violin, and then alternates between lovely short tracks by classical composer Florence Price, to reimagined and reharmonized classic pop tunes, including “Yesterday”, “As Time Goes By”, “Hot Fun in the Summertime”, and concluding with the title track. This album reflects Gerry’s love of music today, tomorrow, and in the forever he hopes to fly to, leaving behind his music for the world to enjoy.
